Ability to Think on his Feet

The ability to make “snap decisions” and to “think outside of the box” is a critical skill, because a Private Detective is sometimes thrown into a situation where an immediate response in necessary, and the consequences could be significant. In The Big Snooze Rocky and Ellsworth discover the secret hide-out of a blackmailing photographer, they find the client’s compromising photos and negatives, and remove them from the file. But, as they are leaving they discover a dead body. The Police are called, but Rocky conceals the fact that he has taken the client’s photos. Ellsworth goes to run errands and Rocky goes to the Office.  Later, Rocky get a call from the Police. Ellsworth has been arrested and Rocky is wanted at the Station.
